Great storyline and well written. Despite the gruesome nature everything about this novel exuded class. I think this may well be Debra Webb's best novel to date. There was a family theme which was uplifting to read. The revenge-bent villains were quite understandable and different to the horrific and sickening Eric Spears of the Faces of Evil series making it much more enjoyable to read.Debra Webb is at the top of her game and having read almost all of her novels I think this one is her best to date... (Although my favourite character is still the Deaf Detective femme fatale for serial killers...)

Love it immensely! No other word to describe it, it's just great. Well, I was hope for a longer novel but I'm not dissappointed with what I got. I really hope there would be next stand-alone novels in this FoE series. I really do.
The Dying Room written by Debra Webb is a standalone Faces of Evil book you will not want to put down. Enjoyable reading with twists and turns throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and you will too. If you’re new to Ms. Webb’s F.O.E. books you will want to start with Obsession and continue through the series. I can’t wait until the next book.

not the same feel as the 'eric spears' series.
have been focused so long on eric spears (suspense of his next move) that this book comes out a little flat.
Where do you go once Jess and Dan are married and have a child. So used to the stories with Jess at the forefront and her workmates/friends as a sideline - but this book has Sylvia and Buddy up front.
If any more FACE of Evil books come out it is hard to see how they could beat books 1-10.
This is just a taste of the series books. Jess hunts serial killers. One has eluded being caught for years. This is a recap of some of the story and a partial of continuing the story if Jess and her boyfriend.
I just got a free copy of this book from the author her self and i was gonna start it monday but decided to start it last night and i was so glad that i did she does not disappoint this is a great book of course the whole faces of evil series is great i can not say which one is my favorite they all r . If u want a great murder mystery book with a great story to it debra Webb's the dying room is it . Gonna be reading this one again abd again like i have with the whole series if you pick this i promise you u will not be disappointed.

It will be great to get the stories for the rest of the characters from the series. The direction she took for Sylvia was so unpredicted.
