The ink or color used was far too easy to press through--a note written on one page bled through several pages later. I'd certainly buy this again next year, keeping in mind that the publishing company desires to minimize environmental impact (hence the bleeding pages) while mazimizing profit. I got this for my friend who has everything he needs. it has great images and the artist is cool. For a calendar, this is more interesting to look at than puppies and pin-ups!

Alex grey is a super artist and activist with paintings that are so beautiful its hard to deny that he's the best pysechedelic painter living. They also go up in value as long as you leave it in shrink wrap
I buy an Alex Grey calendar every year, beautifully printed, a visionary artist who constantly attends to the problem of dualism by presenting amazing insight and vision into the true nature of all relationships, as above, so below.
Seriously, what more could you want from a calendar. Alex Grey's art makes my workspace so much more tolerable. I have purchased his calendar for the last 3 years, and look forward to flipping the month every month. If you love his artwork, this calendar is certainly for you.
I could just sit for hours and look at his work. Funny this month has me staring at the Insomnia piece which really focuses on the nerves in the face, and it was recently suggested that some of my health issues are related to that very same trigeminal nerve and its branches that Alex portrays.
I also love seeing all the different holidays represented from so many countries, sects and religions.
I LOVE Alex Grey's work, and the collection that makes up this 2014 calendar doesn't disappoint.
That being said, the biggest and only real problem I have with this calendar is that the words bleed through from month to month. Everything I have written for January and February has bled through to the next page. REALLY FRUSTRATING, but I still gave this 4 stars because I love the art.
